Activities
fishing
Laurentian Lodge boasts access to a superb lake trout fishery on Flack Lake. There are more than 4,000 lakes in the area, some over 200 feet deep, so opportunities for speckle and rainbow trout, bass and pike are also plentiful. Boats and motors are available to rent from the Lodge by the day or week.
hiking
Laurentian Lodge borders on Mississagi Park, known for its scenic hiking trails along the shorelines of Canadian Shield lakes. The Horne Lake, Firetower Lookout, and the Cobre Lake trails are also easily accessible nearby. There is a lot to see as the area boasts some of the most magnificent and geologically significant rock formations in the world, not to mention abandoned logging camps and mines from a bygone era.
canoeing
Canoeing has a special magic in this paradise of nature. Routes are mapped that can take two to five days to complete and canoeists can often explore part of these routes on day trips. If you don’t have a canoe, you can rent one at Laurentian Lodge, complete with lifejackets, paddles, and safety kits.
ATV-ing
Access miles of scenic ATV trails directly from your front door at the Lodge.
fun & relaxation
Serenity can easily be found by taking a dip in the step-like waterfalls and pools that descend from Flack to Mikel Lake, just outside the Lodge's chalets. As well as two beaches, the Lodge also offers tennis, peddle boating, and a central hot-tub and sauna.
golfing
Two 18-hole courses and one 9-hole golf course can be found within 1.5 hours of Laurentian Lodge.
